BUSY PHONE LINES

Dear patients

We are currently experiencing extremely high volume of calls to the Surgery, and are aware that it takes some time to get through to our team.  We kindly request, that you do not phone during peak times unless it is absolutely necessary and you require medical advice for a new and acute problem.

Routine face to face and telephone appointments are available for medication reviews and non urgent problems. The wait is currently 3 weeks. If you are unsure whether your medical need is urgent, our receptionists are trained to direct you to the most appropriate appointment. They will liaise with the GP on your behalf if there are concerns regarding the urgency of your problem.

We do not make appointments via email, but you can register for SystemOnline to make routine appointments with the GP, in order to avoid the phone queue.

We have several telephone lines and multiple members of staff answering phones at all times. They will get to you as soon as they can.  Please try and keep your call as brief as possible in order to free up our staff quickly so they can help the next caller.  Please be kind to our staff who are doing their very best to help you. Any abusive behaviour will result in your call being terminated.

Thank you for your support and understanding
